What is accreditation?

Accreditation

Accreditation is an independent assessment of conformity assessment bodies against recognized standards to ensure their impartiality and competence. By applying national and international standards, the government, buyers and consumers can trust the calibration and test results, inspection reports and certificates provided.

ACCREDITATION INSTITUTIONS

Accreditation bodies have been established in many countries, the main purpose of which is to ensure that conformity assessment bodies are supervised by an authoritative body.
Accreditation bodies evaluated by peers as competent sign agreements that increase the acceptance of products and services across national borders and thus create a support system for international trade by removing technical barriers.
An accreditation body has been established in Lithuania: the National Accreditation Bureau. He constantly supervises activities accredited by SERTIKA.
