Which products require CE marking?
CE marking is required if exported products belong to one of the following groups of 21 directives:
- Machinery Directive - 2006/42/EC;
- Low Voltage Directive - 2014/35/EU;
- Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive - 2014/30/EU;
- Medical Devices Directive - 93/42/EEC (replaced by the Medical Devices Regulation (EU) 2017/745 from 2017-05-25);
- Personal Protective Equipment Directive - 89/686/EEC (from 2018-04-21 the Personal Protective Equipment Regulation (EU) 2016/425));
- Construction Products Regulation - (EU) No 305/2011;
- Pressure Equipment Directive - 2014/68/EU;
- REACH - Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006;
- RoHS - Restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment - 2011/65/EU;
- Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive - 2012/19/EU;
- Equipment used in potentially explosive environments and protection system directive - 2014/34/EU;
- Toys Directive - 2009/48/EU;
- Radio Equipment Directive - 2014/53/EU;
- Recreational and personal craft directive - 2013/53/EU
- Directive on active implantable medical devices - 90/385/EEC (replaces the Medical Devices Regulation (EU) 2017/745 from 25.05.2017);
- Explosives for Civil Use Directive - 2014/28/EU;
- Directive regulating noise emitted by equipment used in outdoor conditions - 2000/14/EC;
- Regulation of gas burning appliances - (EU) 2016/426;
- Lifts and Lift Safety Devices Directive - 2014/33/EU;
- Pyrotechnic Products Directive - 2013/29/EU;
- Measuring Instruments Directive - 2014/32/EU.
