  • CE marking is a mark placed on a product that shows compliance with directives or regulations specified by the European Union.
  • Products that meet these requirements can be marked with the CE symbol and can move freely in the single market of the European Free Trade Association and the European Union. In other words, the CE symbol is like a European passport for products.
  • The letters "CE" are an abbreviation of the French phrase "Conformité Européene", which means "European approval".
