What happens if the product does not meet all CE marking requirements?
  • By labeling its product with the CE symbol, the manufacturer declares that it meets all relevant EU safety product requirements.
  • If the product does not meet the applicable requirements, it cannot be placed on the EU market.
  • Depending on the country where the product is sold, market control and unplanned product inspections are carried out.
  • If a device is found to be non-compliant with the relevant EU product safety requirements, the manufacturer may have:
  1. fine imposed;
