The concept of equivalent certificate in public procurement

The term "equivalent standard (certificate)" mentioned in the public procurement technical specification refers to a certificate that is issued by institutions established in other EU countries, which has been certified by a certification body that meets the requirements of European Community legislation. In other words, the certificate issued by the Lithuanian certification body LST EN ISO 9001:2015 is equivalent to the certificate issued by the certification body of another country (e.g. the certificate LVS EN ISO 9001:2015 issued by the certification body established in Latvia).
