Where can I find the official name of the IK code standard and the valid version of the standard?
You can always find the current edition of the standard, amendments or corrections to the standard on the website of the Lithuanian Department of Standardization.

The meaning of the IK code, why do we need a standard?
IK code tests are designed to evaluate the mechanical resistance of products. This standard specifies methodologies for performing shock and impact tests that simulate a variety of everyday situations where products may be accidentally dropped or otherwise physically affected. The main evaluation criteria - the product must withstand the impact test according to the requirements of the standard for the product.

The IK code applies to the following devices
- Household appliances - washing machines, refrigerators, ovens and other appliances used in the home environment.
- Computer equipment - portable and stationary computers, external hard drives, monitors.
- Mobile phones and tablets - devices that are extremely sensitive due to their portable nature.
- Industrial equipment - various control modules, car charging stations, sensors and other electronic systems used in industry.
- Audio/Video (IT) equipment - televisions, sound amplifiers, speakers and other audiovisual equipment components.
- Security systems - access control systems, alarm devices and similar security products.
The Sertika testing laboratory can perform IK code testing in the non-accredited area according to the selected standard.
You can find the entire accreditation scope of safety testing activities of UAB "Sertika" here: UAB "Sertika" testing laboratory accreditation scope.
How long are the tests?
- In the standard procedure, the submission of the IK code protocol within 10 working days from the delivery of the device to the laboratory.
- In an accelerated procedure, the IK code protocol is submitted within 3 working days from the delivery of the device to the laboratory.
