  • The National Accreditation Office is a budgetary institution under the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania, which implements state policy in the field of accreditation.
  • The strategic goal of the office is to ensure that the activities of accredited conformity assessment bodies - certification and control bodies, testing and calibration laboratories - are recognized at the international level.
  • The mission of the office is to perform the functions of a national accreditation body in Lithuania.
  • The office accredits testing, calibration and medical laboratories, control institutions, certification bodies for persons, products, management systems, EMAS assessors and supervises their activities.
  • The office performs the functions of the control authority for compliance with the principles of Good Laboratory Practice.
