The National Accreditation Office is a budgetary institution under the Ministry of Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania, which implements state policy in the field of accreditation.
The strategic goal of the office is to ensure that the activities of accredited conformity assessment bodies - certification and control bodies, testing and calibration laboratories - are recognized at the international level.
The mission of the office is to perform the functions of a national accreditation body in Lithuania.
The office accredits testing, calibration and medical laboratories, control institutions, certification bodies for persons, products, management systems, EMAS assessors and supervises their activities.
The office performs the functions of the control authority for compliance with the principles of Good Laboratory Practice.
